The cool and rainy forecast comes after days of record-breaking heat and a rare Illinois dust storm that created "life-threatening" travel conditions, and left cars and homes covered in dirt.

High temperatures Monday through Wednesday remain will be unseasonably cool in the 50s, while lows also drop down into the 40s. This workweek is set up by a raw, wet pattern. The best rain timeframe is Monday night through Tuesday and into Wednesday.
