The National Weather Service has confirmed that a powerful EF-4 tornado tore through southern Kentucky on Friday night, devastating communities across multiple counties.

The NWS Blacksburg VA issued a weather alert at 6:21 p.m. on Tuesday for strong thunderstorms until 7:15 p.m. for Ashe and Watauga counties.

The NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC issued a report at 5:52 p.m. on Tuesday for strong thunderstorms until 6:30 p.m. for Avery and Mitchell counties.

The NWS Fort Worth TX released a flood warning at 8:54 a.m. on Tuesday in effect until 11:53 p.m. for Wise County.

At least seven tornadoes have been confirmed during Sunday's storms in counties west of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and two during the storms on Monday north of the metroplex, according to the National Weather Service.

On Monday at 11:45 p.m. the National Weather Service released a flood warning in effect until Tuesday at 10 a.m. The warning is for Platte, Atchison, Doniphan, Andrew, Buchanan and Nodaway counties.

The National Weather Service and AccuWeather both warn of severe weather that could affect the Southeast region, though forecasts remain uncertain.

SPRINGDALE, Ark. — National Weather Service (NWS) teams are surveying possible tornado damage left in the wake of severe storms that hit parts of Arkansas and Oklahoma on May 19. The organization confirmed on Tuesday that multiple tornadoes did occur a day prior and that the surveys will take time.
